Wendy's promotes late-night drive-thru service on its website, so some locations serve well into the night, while others close earlier. We could not confirm a typical national closing time, so we are not going to guess one.

Two tips if you are heading out late:

• Check the store in the app or on the online locator, not a map listing that may be out of date.
• Leave a buffer. Pulling in right at the posted closing time is risky, and an app pickup order is a quick way to confirm the store is still taking orders.

What time does Wendy's serve lunch?

Wendy's starts serving lunch at 10:30 a.m. at most restaurants, as soon as breakfast ends. The lunch menu then runs until the store closes.

Wendy's ordering system has only two menus for each store: breakfast and lunch. Does Wendy's serve lunch all day?

Yes, once breakfast ends. Wendy's serves its lunch menu from 10:30 a.m. until closing, so you can get a Baconator or a Frosty for dinner. What you usually cannot get is lunch before 10:30 a.m.

In Wendy's ordering data, a short list of items is marked as available all day, including fountain drinks, lemonades, coffee, cold brew, Apple Bites, cookies and the Cinnabon Pull-Apart. Burgers, chicken, fries, chili and the Frosty are lunch items. Breakfast sandwiches, burritos and Seasoned Potatoes are breakfast-only, so they disappear at 10:30.

Some restaurants may make a lunch item early if you ask, because food is cooked to order, but it is not standard. Plan on 10:30 a.m. as the start of lunch.

Are Wendy's lobby hours different from drive-thru hours?

They can be. Each restaurant sets its own dining-room and drive-thru schedule, and a store may keep the drive-thru open later than the lobby.

Is Wendy's open on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day?

Many Wendy's restaurants open on holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, but hours vary by location. In 2026, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, Nov. 26, and Christmas Day on Friday, Dec. 25.

In a December 2025 blog post, Wendy's said many locations stay open on holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, but that hours depend on the restaurant. For Thanksgiving 2025, national outlets including TODAY and Newsweek reported that many or most Wendy's locations would open. Expect shorter hours, and expect some stores to close entirely.
