The Starbucks menu at a glance

Starbucks started small: one shop near Seattle's Pike Place Market, opened on March 30, 1971, by Jerry Baldwin, Gordon Bowker and Zev Siegl, selling whole-bean coffee. The company now runs or licenses about 16,860 U.S. stores. Roughly 10,000 are company-operated, and the rest are licensed cafés inside places like grocery stores, airports and Target, which can price and stock things a little differently from a standalone store.

The prices below are estimated typical U.S. prices for a standard order, so treat them as a guide rather than a receipt. Size, milk choice, extra shots, syrups and your city all move the total, and licensed cafés set their own prices. We only show nutrition that comes from a chain's own guide, so for Starbucks calories, open the item in the Starbucks app, where you can see how your changes add up.

Allergens at Starbucks

Starbucks lists ingredient and allergen details for each item on starbucks.com and in its app. Milk is in most espresso drinks and Frappuccinos, almond milk is a tree nut, and the bakery and sandwich items commonly contain wheat, egg and soy. Starbucks says it cannot guarantee anything is allergen-free because it uses shared equipment to store, prepare and serve its products.

How to order smarter at Starbucks

  1. Order a brewed coffee or tea for here in a mug or glass: since January 2025, U.S. cafés refill hot or iced brewed coffee and hot or iced tea free during that visit.
  2. Watch the add-ons. A Caramel Macchiato at about $6.15 plus an extra shot and cold foam (about $1.25 each) comes to roughly $8.65 before tax.
  3. All Starbucks Rewards members, from Green up, get Free Mod Mondays, one free drink modification on a Monday each month, so save your oat milk or extra shot for that day.
  4. The 60-Star reward takes $2 off any purchase, which can be a better use of a small Star balance than waiting for a bigger reward.
  5. Seasonal drinks such as the Pumpkin Spice Latte and the new Chaider launched on August 25, 2026, and are not in our standard price table, so expect them to cost a bit more than a plain latte.

Common questions about the Starbucks menu

What is the cheapest thing to order at Starbucks?

The lowest prices in our list are the Plain Bagel at about $2.95 and a Pike Place Roast or Blonde Roast brewed coffee at about $3.25. A doppio espresso is about $3.45. If you drink your brewed coffee in the café, you can also get free refills during the same visit.

Does Starbucks give free refills?

Yes, with conditions. Since January 27, 2025, U.S. cafés offer free refills of hot brewed coffee, iced coffee, hot tea and iced tea when your first drink is ordered for here and served in a mug, glass or clean personal cup. Lattes, cold brew and Refreshers do not qualify for refills.

How does Starbucks Rewards work in 2026?

Starbucks Rewards relaunched on March 10, 2026, with Green, Gold and Reserve levels that earn 1, 1.2 and 1.7 Stars per dollar. Every level gets a birthday reward and Free Mod Mondays, and a new 60-Star reward takes $2 off. Our Starbucks birthday reward page explains each level and the redemption chart.

Is the Java Chip Frappuccino discontinued?

Yes. Starbucks removed the Java Chip Frappuccino on March 4, 2025, along with 12 other drinks, including three other Frappuccinos, five Crème Frappuccinos and White Hot Chocolate.
