What sizes do Chick-fil-A nuggets come in?

Chick-fil-A nuggets come in four counts: 5, 8, 12 and 30. The 5-count is the kid's meal portion, the 8-count is the standard entrée and the 30-count is meant for sharing. Grilled nuggets come in the same four counts.

Breaded Chick-fil-A nuggets are bite-size pieces of chicken breast, seasoned, breaded and pressure-cooked in refined peanut oil. Grilled nuggets are marinated chicken breast pieces cooked on a grill. Every order comes with your choice of dipping sauce.

How much are Chick-fil-A nuggets?

An 8-count of Chick-fil-A nuggets cost $5.09 to $5.99 at the eight stores we checked in six states in late October 2026. The 12-count ran $6.95 to $8.15 and the 30-count $17.35 to $20.35.

The per-nugget math is worth a look. The 8-count works out to about 64 to 75 cents a nugget. The 12-count and the 30-count both land at about 58 to 68 cents. So the 12-count is the value step, and the 30-count saves nothing extra per nugget; it only saves you from ordering several boxes. Grilled nuggets cost about 70 to 84 cents each.

At the store level, the 12-count costs only about $1.85 to $2.15 more than the 8-count for four extra nuggets and 13 more grams of protein. Prices for every other item are on our Chick-fil-A menu page.

How much is a Chick-fil-A nugget meal?

A Chick-fil-A nugget meal with eight nuggets, a medium side and a medium drink cost about $8.95 to $10.55 at most stores we checked. The 12-count meal ran $10.79 to $12.59, and the 30-count meal $20.99 to $24.29.

Grilled nugget meals ran $9.75 to $11.25 for eight and $12.25 to $13.99 for twelve. For kids, the 5-count Kid's Meal with a kid-size side and drink cost $6.05 to $7.05, or $6.59 to $7.49 with grilled nuggets. Waffle fries are the default side; see Chick-fil-A fries for other sizes.

Should you get nuggets or Chick-n-Strips?

Chick-n-Strips are larger breaded strips made from what Chick-fil-A calls the most tender part of the chicken breast, and for the same money they deliver about the same protein as nuggets. Three strips cost $5.39 to $5.99 for 310 calories and 29 grams of protein, close to an 8-count of nuggets at 250 calories and 27 grams.

Strips come in 2, 3, 4 and 10 counts. The 4-count runs $6.75 to $7.85 (410 calories), and the 10-count $16.89 to $19.59 (1,020 calories). Nuggets are easier for dipping and for small kids, and strips are an option on all three entrée salads. In the morning, nuggets also appear in Chick-n-Minis, four small nugget sandwiches on honey-butter yeast rolls.

Does Chick-fil-A have spicy nuggets?

No. Spicy nuggets are not on Chick-fil-A's standard U.S. menu. None of the eight stores we checked in October 2026 listed them; they offered only breaded and grilled nuggets.

Chick-fil-A does test spicy items from time to time. Most recently, it sold Spicy Chick-n-Strips at two Atlanta-area restaurants, Sandy Springs and Sprayberry, from July 20 to Sept. 12, 2026. If you want heat now, pair regular nuggets with Zesty Buffalo or Sweet & Spicy Sriracha sauce, or wait for the new Spicy Chick-fil-A Sauce, which the chain says joins the menu permanently on Nov. 16, 2026.

How many calories are in Chick-fil-A nuggets, and do they have dairy?

Eight breaded Chick-fil-A nuggets have 250 calories, 11 grams of fat and 27 grams of protein. Eight grilled nuggets have 130 calories, 3 grams of fat and 25 grams of protein, which makes them one of the best protein-per-calorie items in fast food.

Yes, breaded nuggets contain dairy. Their breading includes nonfat dry milk, and Chick-fil-A lists milk, egg and wheat as allergens. Grilled nuggets list none of those major allergens.
