On a Monday, 99 of the 219 stores that are not open around the clock opened before 5 a.m., and 98 more opened between 5 and 6 a.m. Only 22 waited until 6 a.m. or later. The middle store opened at 5 a.m. sharp.

Weekends start a little later. On Sunday, 48 stores opened between 6 and 7 a.m., compared with 13 on Monday, though the typical Sunday opening was still 5 a.m. If you need coffee before dawn, the drive-thru is your best bet: at stores with both a lobby and a drive-thru, 30 of 137 opened the drive-thru first. When does Dunkin' close?

Most Dunkin' stores close between 6 and 10 p.m., and the typical closing time in our sample was 7:45 p.m. on weekdays. Dunkin' is a morning business, so it closes earlier than most burger chains.

Here is how Monday closing times broke down among the 219 stores with set hours: 12 closed before 6 p.m., 113 closed between 6 and 8 p.m., 86 closed between 8 and 10 p.m., and 8 stayed open past 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday looked almost the same, with slightly more stores closing before 6 p.m.

The lobby usually shuts first. At all 137 stores in our sample that list separate lobby and drive-thru hours, the drive-thru closed later. The gap was 15 minutes at 102 of them and an hour or more at 31. So if the doors are locked, try the drive-thru before you leave.

How do Dunkin' hours change on weekends?

Dunkin' hours shift a little later on weekends, mostly in the morning. On Saturday, 71 of the 220 stores with set hours opened between 4 and 5 a.m., down from 91 on Monday, and 36 waited until 6 a.m. or later. The safest plan is to go early, since a store that opens may still close well before its usual time. The Toasted White Chocolate drinks are a Cloud Latte, a Signature Latte, an Almond White Chocolate Shakin' Espresso and a Raspberry White Chocolate Matcha.
