How much is a Whopper at Burger King?

A Whopper costs about $5.60 to $8.00 at Burger King in 2026. Mashed found rural stores near the low end and dense cities near the top, and Chowhound put the typical everyday price at about $7.69 in May 2026. A July 2026 delivery menu listed it at $7.59, and delivery apps usually charge more than the counter.

There are two ways to pay less. Whopper Wednesday gives Royal Perks members a Whopper for $3.98 in the app, per Chowhound's May 2026 report. How much is a Whopper Meal at Burger King?

A Whopper Meal with fries and a drink costs about $10 in store at average-priced locations. Tasting Table found it at $10.29 at Texas stores outside Dallas in early 2026, with a Double Whopper Meal at $12.89. Delivery is far pricier: the same July 2026 delivery menu charged $16.74 for a Whopper Meal.

Meals come in small, medium and large sizes, which set the size of the fries and drink. A Whopper with medium fries and a medium Coca-Cola adds up to 1,350 calories. If you do not need a full-size Whopper, the $7 Trio with a Whopper Jr., medium fries and a drink costs less than a Whopper Meal at most stores.

What changed with the new Whopper in 2026?

Burger King gave the Whopper its first real update in about a decade in 2026. The burger now comes on a more premium bun with an upgraded mayonnaise and better-portioned toppings, and it ships in a cardboard carton so it stays in shape. The flame-grilled quarter-pound patty did not change, and Burger King said the price would not rise because of the update.

The build is still the classic one: beef, tomato, lettuce, mayo, ketchup, pickles and sliced white onion. The patty is 100% beef seasoned with salt and pepper. Burger King first added the Whopper to its menu in 1957.

Which Burger King Whopper versions can you order?

Burger King's October 2026 menu data lists five core Whopper sizes and styles, each with optional bacon and cheese:

• Whopper Jr.: a smaller single patty with the same toppings, at 340 calories.
• Double and Triple Whopper: two or three quarter-pound patties. Each patty adds about 270 calories and 22 grams of protein.
• Texas Whopper: cheese, bacon, jalapeños and yellow mustard on top of the usual toppings, in single, double and Jr. sizes.
• Impossible Whopper: a plant-based patty at 670 calories, cooked on the same broiler as the beef.
• BBQ Bacon Whopper Jr.: smoky BBQ sauce and bacon on the junior, at 390 calories.

Limited-time Whoppers come and go. The Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper appeared in Burger King's menu system in December 2025, for example, but it was not in the October 2026 menu data, and none of the themed or holiday Whoppers were either. How can you order a Whopper your way?

Every Whopper can be changed in the BK app or at the counter, from no mayo to extra pickles. A few changes are worth knowing:

• Adding cheese adds about 80 calories, and bacon about 60.
• A Whopper Jr. keeps the same toppings for less than half the calories, 340 versus 710, and it is one of the picks in the $5 Duo and $7 Trio.
• Holding the mayo takes off a good share of the fat, since the mayo is mostly soybean oil and egg.
