What are Raising Cane's hours of operation?

Raising Cane's hours of operation are set by each restaurant, but the pattern is consistent: open at 10 a.m., closed sometime after midnight. On November 1, 2026, we opened seven store pages on the official Raising Cane's locator, in California, Texas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Florida and Colorado. All seven opened at 10 a.m. seven days a week.

The late-night hours are what set Cane's apart from most chicken chains. Every store we checked kept its drive-thru open until at least 1 a.m., and the latest, in La Habra, California, served until 3:30 a.m. from Thursday to Saturday. The table below shows each store's schedule.

What time does Raising Cane's close?

Most Raising Cane's restaurants close between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., and many stay open an hour later on Friday and Saturday nights. Six of the seven stores we checked pushed closing time back on the weekend, usually from 1 or 2 a.m. to 2 or 3 a.m.

The dining room and the drive-thru do not always close together. At the Gessner Road store in Houston, the dining room closes at 11 p.m. while the drive-thru runs until 2 a.m., or 3 a.m. on weekends. The South Claiborne store in New Orleans closes its dining room at 10 p.m. and its drive-thru at 1 a.m. If you are going late, plan on the drive-thru.

Some store pages also list curbside pickup or a walk-up window with separate hours. One Denver store, for example, showed its walk-up window as closed every day.

Four of the seven store pages we checked carry a Late Night label in their list of features, and those stores stayed open until 1 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. The label is a useful hint, but not a guarantee: the Louisville store had no Late Night label and still served until 3 a.m. on weekends.

Is Raising Cane's open on Sundays?

Yes, Raising Cane's is open on Sundays. Every store page we checked listed the same Sunday hours as Monday through Thursday: open at 10 a.m., with the drive-thru running until 1 a.m. or later. Sunday is not a short day at Cane's the way it is at chains that close for the day.

The Sunday exceptions are holidays. Raising Cane's was closed on Easter Sunday in 2025, so do not count on Sunday hours that weekend.

The dining room and drive-thru split described above applies on Sundays too. At the Houston and New Orleans stores we checked, the dining room closed at 11 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Sunday, while the drive-thru kept serving until 2 a.m. and 1 a.m.

What time does Raising Cane's serve lunch?

Raising Cane's serves lunch from opening, which is 10 a.m. at the restaurants we checked. There is no breakfast menu and no separate lunch menu: the same chicken finger combos are available from the moment the doors open until close.

Is Raising Cane's open on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas?

No. Raising Cane's closed all of its locations on Thanksgiving 2025, and a company spokesperson told USA TODAY that restaurants would be closed on Christmas Day 2025. CBS News also listed Raising Cane's among the chains closed on Easter Sunday in 2025.

For 2026, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, Nov. 26, and Christmas on Friday, Dec. 25. Raising Cane's had not posted 2026 holiday hours on the pages we checked, so expect the same closures but confirm on your store page that week. In 2025, KRQE grouped Raising Cane's with chains that were open on Christmas Eve, possibly with limited hours, and closed on Christmas Day.

Each store page lists hours by day and often splits them into separate schedules for the dining room, the drive-thru, curbside pickup and, at a few restaurants, a walk-up window. Read the line that matches how you plan to order.

Store pages also show special hours for specific dates. The Denver store we checked listed Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, on its own line, with its usual 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. hours. When a holiday is coming up, look for a dated line like that before you head out, and check the store page again the week of Thanksgiving or Christmas.

The first Raising Cane's opened on August 28, 1996, at the corner of Highland Road and State Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, near the North Gate of LSU. Todd Graves and Craig Silvey founded the chain, and the original restaurant is known inside the company as the Mothership.
