Does Chipotle have tacos?

Yes. Tacos are one of the five entree formats at Chipotle, next to burritos, bowls, salads and quesadillas. You order them on the same serving line as a burrito, choosing a protein, then rice, beans, salsas and toppings for the shells.

An order is three tacos, and you can also buy a single taco. Three tacos cost the same as a bowl with the same protein, so the choice is about how you like to eat rather than price. The single chicken taco, at about $3.50 to $3.60, is the cheapest entree at Chipotle.

How much are tacos at Chipotle?

Chipotle tacos cost about $9.20 to $11.65 for an order of three at the stores we checked in October 2026, depending on the protein. Chicken, sofritas and veggie tacos are the cheapest, carnitas sits in the middle, and steak and barbacoa cost the most.

The usual add-on prices apply: guacamole is $2.95 unless you order veggie tacos, and queso blanco is about $1.70. A bag of chips adds about $1.95 to $2.15. Delivery menus cost more than ordering for pickup.

Does Chipotle have hard shell tacos?

Yes. Chipotle's crispy corn tortillas are its hard taco shells, and you can pick them instead of soft flour tortillas for any taco order. Each crispy corn tortilla has 70 calories, and each soft flour taco tortilla has 80, so the shell choice barely changes the total.

The crispy corn shell is also the taco option to look at if you avoid wheat, because the flour tortillas are made with wheat flour. All Chipotle ingredients share one serving line, though, so check Chipotle's allergen information for the shells before you order if you need to avoid gluten strictly.

The same two shells are offered for kids: Chipotle's kids' nutrition chart lists soft flour and crispy corn tortillas, two per meal, at 170 and 130 calories for the pair.

How many calories are in Chipotle tacos?

A single Chipotle Adobo Chicken Taco from the High Protein Menu, with a soft flour tortilla, chicken, fajita veggies, tomato salsa, cheese and lettuce, has 190 calories and 15 grams of protein. That is Chipotle's own published figure and a useful benchmark for one taco.

An order of three varies widely with what you put inside. Chipotle's printed menu nutrition chart (2022 edition) listed an order of three tacos at 390 to 1,140 calories. The biggest swings come from the toppings: cheese and sour cream add 110 calories each per standard portion, guacamole 230 and rice 210. Salsas add only 15 to 80. What is the best way to order Chipotle tacos?

Order tacos when you want smaller bites or want to try more than one combination for the price of a bowl. Because each taco gets its own scoop of fillings, you can also ask for a different salsa on each one and work out which you like best. A few practical tips:

• Keep fillings light. Three tortillas hold less than a bowl, so ask for lighter scoops of rice and beans if you want everything to fit.
• Try a single taco as an add-on. A $3.50 chicken taco next to a Chipotle quesadilla or kids' meal adds protein cheaply.
• Kids' meals. Chipotle's kids' nutrition chart lists two small tortillas, soft flour or crispy corn, for the Kid's Build Your Own, which costs about $5.60 to $5.75 with chicken, a side and a drink.
