How does the Never-Ending Pasta Bowl work in 2026?
The 2026 Never-Ending Pasta Bowl runs nationwide from Aug. 31 through Nov. 22, 2026, starting at $14.99, with prices varying by location. You pick a pasta, a sauce and an optional protein topping, finish the bowl, then order another combination for free, as many times as you like while you dine in. Never-ending soup or salad and breadsticks come with it.
The pastas are fettuccine, spaghetti, angel hair and rigatoni, with gluten-free rotini on request. The sauces are alfredo, meat sauce, five cheese marinara, traditional marinara, creamy mushroom and the limited-time Spicy Alfredo. Toppings cost extra: Crispy Chicken Fritta, meatballs, Italian sausage and the new Crispy Shrimp Fritta. You pay the topping charge once and can switch toppings on each refill.
EClub members and Pasta Pass holders got early access from Aug. 24. The 2026 Never-Ending Pasta Pass, the first in six years, offered 10,000 passes at $100 plus tax on July 16 and covers the bowl through Nov. 22. Refills are dine-in only, so the bowl doesn't work for To Go.
Does Olive Garden have lunch specials?
Yes. Olive Garden's lunch special is Never-Ending Soup, Salad and Breadsticks for $9.99, Monday to Friday until 3 p.m., a limited-time price that was the same at all 15 restaurants we checked, Times Square included. The regular lunch menu also runs about $11.49 to $12.49 for smaller plates in most markets. Our Olive Garden soup and salad page explains the refill rules, and the Olive Garden lunch menu lists every lunch plate and price.
How does the Olive Garden $6 Take Home entrée work?
Buy any entrée, and you can add a chilled, ready-to-heat entrée to take home for $6. The choices are Fettuccine Alfredo, Five Cheese Ziti al Forno and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, with no substitutions. Take Home entrées do not include soup, salad or breadsticks.
The limits depend on how you order. Dining in, you can add up to five Take Homes per entrée; ordering To Go online or in the restaurant, one per entrée. It is offered at participating restaurants in the continental U.S. and Canada, but not at the Times Square location, and the price can differ by market. The online menu data also includes $5.49, $5.99 and $8 Take Home price tiers, so expect some markets to differ.
This is the deal people mean when they search for a "$6 entrée" at Olive Garden. It isn't a $6 dinner on its own; it rides along with a full-price entrée.
Which Olive Garden deal saves the most?
It depends on how hungry you are and whether you eat in. Using prices from the Grove City, Ohio restaurant, one of the lower-priced stores we checked, here is how the options compare:
- One big pasta dinner: at its $14.99 starting price, the Never-Ending Pasta Bowl costs $2 less than a regular Fettuccine Alfredo ($16.99) before any refill, so it wins even if you only finish one bowl.
- A light weekday lunch: the $9.99 soup, salad and breadsticks beats every lunch plate, and the refills make it the most food per dollar on the menu.
- Dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow: an entrée plus a $6 Take Home costs less than ordering a second Lighter Portions plate ($13.49) and gives you a full-size pasta to reheat.
- Feeding four at home: the Family-Style Chicken Alfredo Bundle ($79.49) costs a little less than four Chicken Alfredos ($83.16) and adds a family salad and a dozen breadsticks.
Once the Pasta Bowl ends on Nov. 22, Create Your Own Pasta at $13.99 becomes the cheapest dinner entrée with never-ending soup or salad and breadsticks, though the pasta itself isn't refilled. For group orders, our Olive Garden catering prices guide runs the per-person math.
Is Olive Garden's Buy One, Take One still available?
No. Olive Garden's Buy One, Take One page says the promotion is not currently available, and it was not on the specials page on Nov. 1, 2026. When it ran, you ordered an entrée to eat in, with soup or salad and breadsticks, and picked a second, chilled entrée to take home for one combined price.
The $6 Take Home offer covers the same idea today: one entrée in the restaurant and a second pasta for later, with the take-home portion priced at $6. If Buy One, Take One returns, it will appear on the specials page and in eClub emails.
Does Olive Garden have a happy hour?
Not nationally. Olive Garden's locator can show a happy hour for restaurants that run one, but only one of its 965 U.S. listings had that flag switched on in November 2026, in Palm Coast, Florida, and no happy-hour prices were posted. Drinks are full price at the rest. Ask your local restaurant if you are curious, but plan on regular prices.
Frequently asked questions
Does Olive Garden give a free birthday dessert?
Yes. Olive Garden's FAQ says guests can get a complimentary dessert on their birthday when they dine in, and servers will join your group in singing Happy Birthday if you ask. Signing up for the free eClub with your birth date also puts you on the list for emailed offers and local coupons.
Can you get a discount on Olive Garden gift cards?
Yes, for big orders. Olive Garden's FAQ lists a 5 percent discount on gift card purchases of $500 to $999 and 10 percent on $1,000 or more, ordered through its Gift Card Center at 1-800-248-4935 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern. Smaller gift card purchases are full price.
Does Olive Garden have a gluten-free menu?
Olive Garden has a Gluten Sensitive menu of dishes made without gluten-containing ingredients, plus gluten-free rotini that meets the FDA definition. The company does not call the other dishes gluten-free because its kitchens share equipment. Our Olive Garden nutrition menu guide lists the items and the cross-contact details.
Are Olive Garden specials available for To Go orders?
Some are. The $9.99 soup, salad and breadsticks, lunch-size plates, Create Your Own Pasta and the $6 Take Home entrée can all be ordered To Go on olivegarden.com, with one serving instead of refills. The Never-Ending Pasta Bowl is dine-in only. Family-Style bundles are sold only for pickup and delivery.
When does Olive Garden's Never-Ending Pasta Bowl end?
The 2026 Olive Garden Never-Ending Pasta Bowl ends on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2026. It started nationwide on Aug. 31, with early access from Aug. 24 for eClub members and Pasta Pass holders. Bowls start at $14.99, and prices vary by location. After it ends, Create Your Own Pasta stays on the menu from $13.99.
