Does Olive Garden still have unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks?
Yes. Olive Garden still refills soup, salad and breadsticks, and it now markets the meal as Never-Ending Soup, Salad and Breadsticks. You can order it two ways. As a meal on its own, you get a bowl of soup, the house salad and breadsticks, with refills of all three. With any adult entrée, you get never-ending soup or salad, plus breadsticks, at no extra charge.
The refills only happen at the table. Olive Garden's offer pages say refills are dine-in only, so a To Go or delivery order includes one serving. You can switch soups on each refill, which is the easiest way to try all four in one visit.

What are the 4 soups at Olive Garden?
Olive Garden makes four soups in-house, and all four were on the menu at every restaurant we checked:
- Chicken & Gnocchi: a creamy soup with roasted chicken, Italian dumplings (gnocchi) and spinach. It is the richest of the four at 230 calories a bowl.
- Pasta e Fagioli: white and red beans, ground beef, tomatoes and small tube pasta in a savory broth, 150 calories.
- Zuppa Toscana: spicy Italian sausage, kale and russet potatoes in a creamy broth, 220 calories. It is made without gluten-containing ingredients.
- Minestrone: vegetables, beans and pasta in a light tomato broth. It is the only vegan soup and the lightest at 110 calories.
A fifth soup, Stellini, appears in the nutrition guide as a regional item, so you may see it in some areas. Calories here are per 8-ounce bowl from Olive Garden's August 2026 guide. For the full calorie, carb and protein math on a soup and salad meal, see our Olive Garden nutrition menu guide.
How much is a salad or a bowl of soup on its own?
A single Olive Garden house salad or a single soup costs $8.79 to $11.49 To Go, most often $8.99, and each comes with two breadsticks. The To Go soup is a 16-ounce container, twice the size of a dine-in bowl.
The house salad is lettuce topped with tomatoes, olives, onions and pepperoncini, finished with croutons and parmesan. It comes with Olive Garden's signature Italian dressing on the side, and the online menu also offers low-fat Italian or oil and vinegar. You can leave off any topping for free. If you are eating in, a separate salad rarely makes sense, because one comes with every adult entrée.
How much is a family salad or a gallon of soup?
Olive Garden's family-size Jumbo Famous House Salad serves about six and costs $23.99 to $27.49, most often $24.49, and it includes a dozen breadsticks. Soup comes in two big sizes: a half gallon that serves six for $19.49 to $22.79 and a full gallon that serves 12 for $30.49 to $34.49, in any of the four flavors.
Breadsticks sell on their own, baked or unbaked to finish in your oven. A half dozen cost $4.79 and a dozen $6.99 at the Grove City, Ohio restaurant, versus $5.99 and $8.79 in Times Square. All of these work for parties too; our Olive Garden catering prices guide shows how they fit with pans of pasta.
| Item | Serves | Price range | Most common |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jumbo Famous House Salad with 12 breadsticks | About 6 | $23.99 to $27.49 | $24.49 |
| Homemade soup, half gallon | About 6 | $19.49 to $22.79 | $19.99 |
| Homemade soup, gallon | About 12 | $30.49 to $34.49 | $31.99 |
| Breadsticks, half dozen | 3 to 6 | $4.49 to $5.99 | $4.79 |
Do Olive Garden kids meals come with breadsticks?
Olive Garden kids meals include a side and a drink but not soup or salad, and the menu does not list breadsticks as part of the kids meal. The never-ending soup or salad and breadsticks are tied to adult entrées. If a child is eating only from the kids menu, ask your server whether breadsticks come with it at that restaurant. Kids meals cost $6.99 to $7.99 at the restaurants we checked, and the full lineup is on the Olive Garden menu.
Frequently asked questions
What dressing comes on the Olive Garden salad?
Olive Garden's house salad comes with its signature Italian dressing, served on the side for To Go orders. The online menu also lists a low-fat Italian dressing and oil and vinegar. Olive Garden says you can buy the signature dressing at its restaurants and at grocery stores and other retailers.
Can you get Olive Garden soup, salad and breadsticks to go?
Yes. Olive Garden sells the soup, salad and breadsticks meal To Go, including the $9.99 weekday lunch version, and you can order it online or in the Olive Garden app. A To Go order includes one soup, one salad and breadsticks, because Olive Garden limits refills to guests dining in the restaurant.
Are Olive Garden breadsticks vegan?
Yes. Olive Garden's vegetarian and vegan guide lists the breadstick with garlic topping as vegan, with no egg or dairy, and the company says the garlic topping is made from margarine. Each breadstick has 140 calories. Ask for them plain if you want to skip the topping, which drops a stick to 130 calories.
Can you buy Olive Garden breadsticks to bake at home?
Yes. Olive Garden sells breadsticks freshly baked or unbaked to finish at home, in half-dozen and dozen packs. At the Grove City, Ohio restaurant on Nov. 1, 2026, six cost $4.79 and twelve cost $6.99, the same price baked or unbaked. Olive Garden posts baking instructions with the online order.
